AGM and talk 'Wildlife in Huntingdonshire'

After a short AGM Dr Pat Doody will give an illustrated talk on local nature reserves and wildlife. Pat is a keen photographer and Chairman of the Huntingdon Local Group of the BCN Wildlife Trusts. http://www.wildlifebcn.org/localgroups_huntingdonshire
There will also be another arrangement competition for members.
This time the theme is "A small arrangement using no flowers".
Maximum height is 30cms in a small round oasis bowl.

NAFAS National Show

The annual NAFAS National Show (Festive Flower & Food Show) will take place at the Winter Gardens, Blackpool.  This is a large competitive flower arranging show, with  some of the best flower arrangers in the country taking part.

'Christmas alphabet'
A welcome return to Julia who entertained us all so well when she visited us in 2015.  Julia is a NAFAS national demonstrator, and comes from Great Yarmouth. She enjoys competing at events, has a flair for costume design and creates unusual containers to fit in with the theme of her demonstrations.
Huntingdon Town Hall

Venue: Huntingdon Town Hall.
Evening meeting with raffle, wine and refreshments, sales table. Visitors and guests very welcome. 
Tickets: Members £7, visitors £12. This will be a ticketed event, Tickets will be available from the July club meeting onwards.

This workshop will be suitable for complete beginners and experienced arrangers.
Venue: Brampton Memorial Centre, Thrapston Road, Brampton, HUNTINGDON, PE28 4TB.
Car park, good disabled access.
Time: 10am to 1pm
Booking: opens September 2017.  Materials list supplied on payment.  Cancellations: please note the payment is non-refundable unless we are able to find someone to take your place. 18 places available.
Cost for the workshop is £10

'Kaleidoscope of Life'. This flower festival is being run by NAFAS East of England.  We will be organising a coach outing for the club. More details available nearer the time.
The club will be creating one design for the festival.
