Diane Edwards

It was with great sadness that we confirmed the passing

of our wonderful Treasurer Diane Edwards on 23rd July 2018

She had been fighting cancer for several months very bravely and with great determination.

At the request of her family the club created some beautiful floral tributes for her funeral on

Friday 17th August at St Mary Magdalene Church, Brampton.

Donations were also made on behalf of the club members to the charities she supported.

Diane was a very popular person and the church was filled with people who knew her
through her many different interests in life.
It was a beautiful service and a very fitting tribute to this wonderful lady.

Wednesday 5th September Club Meeting

Crystal Dyball

presented

Up the Garden Path

The welcome return of Crystal to our club for the third time, Crystal kept us
entertained as we journeyed with her through her garden.

Wednesday 3rd October

Open Meeting with Mig Kimpton

Mig with one of his beautiful arrangements
Ever the showman,  Mig took us willingly "Into the Woods". His fairytale trip included Red Riding Hood, Cinderella, and not forgetting The Bakers Wife.
At the same time his commentary kept us entertained with snippets from his busy and very interesting life while effortlessly producing the most wonderful floral arrangements.

Wednesday 7th November

There were not many changes to the committee, Maggie Horne took over the role of Treasurer after the sad death of Diane during the summer and Judy Bell was confirmed as Assistant Treasurer.
The rest of the committee remained unchanged.

After a break for refreshments the floral arrangements "In a household container"
were judged by Jean Harris
Linda Richardson won with her arrangement in a pair of kitchen scales.
Pam Pritchard and Maggie Horne were runners up.
